INIZIA Conference: Research Results Transfer, Entrepreneurship and the New UPV/EHU Regulations on Company Creation (Spin-offs)

Description

The aim of this conference is to present the support initiatives for Knowledge and Technology Transfer available to students, teaching staff and researchers at the University of the Basque Country, specifically at the Álava Campus.

During the session, the importance of protecting research results through Industrial and/or Intellectual Property will be addressed, and the existing Knowledge Transfer pathways between the University and companies will be presented.

In addition, and as a new feature compared to previous years, there will be a space dedicated to discussing the new Spin-Off regulations for company creation approved by the UPV/EHU Governing Council (13-05-26), as well as the main changes that will impact entrepreneurship within the University following their approval.

This conference is part of the INIZIA programme, promoted by the Álava Business and Innovation Centre (BIC Araba) and the UPV/EHU Álava Campus, focused on fostering entrepreneurship.

10:00–10:20 Opportunities for the transfer of research results.
10:20–10:40 INIZIA Araba Campus entrepreneurship programme.
10:40–11:00 Opportunities for spin-off company creation.
11:00–11:40 Updates on the Spin-Off Regulations (company creation) approved by the Governing Council (13-05-26).
11:40–12:00 Questions and discussion.
