The National Association of Spanish CEEIs (ANCES) held the final event of Ances Open Innovation on May 20th, with the support of 11 major corporations. During the event, held at the headquarters of BStartup Banco Sabadell in Madrid, the leading companies announced the best solutions received to their technological challenges from participating startups and young innovative companies. A new collaboration phase now begins between the established companies and the “solution providers”.
At BIC Araba, we are very pleased to announce that the Alava-based startups we support, Cuico and LIS Data Solutions, have been selected as 2 of the 11 winners of Ances Open Innovation 2026.
Cuico Health SL will develop the project together with CINFA.
LIS Data Solutions will develop the project together with DENSOTEN.

This 9th edition of Ances Open Innovation has once again demonstrated “the vitality of the Spanish innovation ecosystem,” according to Cristina Fanjul, President of ANCES and coordinator of this open innovation program, as the leading companies received a record-breaking 214 solutions to their technological challenges.
