Vitoria-Gasteiz will be in October the world capital of Business Design

Major names in the ecosystem such as Talia Cotton (New York), Dixon Baxi (London) and Illo (Turin) will be present at the 2nd edition of the Basquerville Festival on 16, 17 and 18 October, which will feature notable success stories from the sports industry, cinema, fashion and television.

The event is organized by SPRI Enpresa Digitala and BIC Araba

The Villa Suso Palace, in the historic center of Vitoria-Gasteiz, will host for three days the II Edition of the Basquerville Festival, a professional event to boost business innovation from design and technology organized by SPRI Enpresa Digitala and BIC Araba, In collaboration with EIDE (Basque Design Association) and DIGA (Association of Graphic Design Professionals of Álava).

The festival will consist of 13 first-rate conferences, 2 specialized workshops, 1 round table and several networking moments that will provide advanced knowledge and inspiration for professional practice. An opportunity to learn from the best professionals in the sector and connect with national and international speakers who will serve as references and possible paths for local industry.

The topics to be addressed will range from the use of new technologies such as digital manufacturing and virtual reality to interaction design, programming or motion, without neglecting cross-cutting concerns such as sustainability and circular economy. All this from real examples of companies that bet on innovation from design, told by the studies in charge of making it possible.

BASQUERVILLE will also have a space to show the local young talent, called HARROBY, in the newly opened Izaskun Aurre Kulturgunea (IAK) – Gasteiz Antzokia, where the general public can discover 6 professionals who start their path with a lot of attitude.

The festival will end with a party (JAIALAB) in IAK – Gasteiz Antzokia with a session of Videojockey (VJ), performance that mixes video and music, an open microphone to meet other local projects and strengthen new relationships.
